Ringing Endorsement (Not)
Anita Sharpe on Life

In which public place are you most annoyed by the sound of ringing cell phones and private conversations aired at elevated decibels? For me, it's a tie: public transportation and restaurants. What about the workplace? (The New York Times interviews some people who stop any meeting at the sound of the beep or the 1812 Overture. I was bad about that myself until I stopped carrying my phone into meetings.)

I work out at a gym. Sometimes people take their cell phones in with them and talk the whole time! I use the treadmill for about 45 mintues and I have been beside somebody who talked and received calls the whole time she worked out! That drove me crazy.....Living la vida fearless. I should have mentioned in my previous post that I mean to be commenting constructively and in good faith =) as I enjoy the spirit of this magazine. It just seems to be a shame that the home page offers so little.

Sorry that this is unrelated to this post, but -- on the current Worthwhile homepage, a small 1x2' 'On the Blog Now' spot is the _only_ content shown! (and it's just a summary...)

What does this say about how Worthwhile has evolved since its inception? Who is this site designed to please?
