About That Hit. "See Me"
Anita Sharpe on Business

There's a phrase we use more than a few times as each issue of Worthwhile gets close to completion. When Kevin or I assign and edit a piece that the other isn't in love with, we call it 'one of those 'makes-the-world-go-round' situations.'

We believe our (sometimes) different perspectives about what constitutes a good story makes a much livelier, more interesting magazine than if we always shared the same point of view. Most successful partnerships seem to contain a strong yin/yang element. Consider my favorite partnership of all-time, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. When John first heard the tune for 'Yesterday,' he dismissed it as 'a load of bloody crap!' to which George Harrison added that Paul 'thinks he's Beethoven' (according to the new book, Meet the Beatles, by Steven D. Stark.)

And when John first saw Paul's lyrics for 'Yellow Submarine,' he wrote on the lyric sheet: 'Disgusting!! See me!'
