A friend called yesterday to report on her reunion at one of the top U.S. business schools. 'It was Worthwhile magazine,' she said. 'All of the talk was about purpose and passion and giving back -- and this was coming from the leaders of some of the biggest companies in America. I couldn't help thinking you're going to start seeing this in their ad campaigns.'

Purpose is good. Passion is good. Giving back is good.

Advertising is generally bad, misleading or simply dishonest.

Rather than talking about who is talking about giving back, why not talk about those who are giving back now?
