Where Passion Resides
Anita Sharpe on Life

Or, how about a hot caudate?

If you've ever felt deliriously in romantic love, you know the feeling. 'Falling in love is among the most irrational of human behaviors, not merely a matter of satisfying a simply pleasure, or winning a reward,' notes a New York Times story today. . .inside the brain, 'the caudate nucleus was especially active in people who scored highly on a questionnaire measuring passionate love.'

You could argue that we're hotwired for romance since nature wants us to reproduce. But doesn't nature also want us to produce -- to create work that fulfills us, that supports the offspring of our romantic passion? Where is that caudate? Has anyone felt it as strongly (or close) as with romantic passion?
