Sell More, Donate More
Kevin Salwen on Making a Difference

Our friend, David Hessekiel, who runs the Cause Marketing Forum, notes that eBay now has a no-fee policy for people interested in selling their products for charity. In other words, you sell a product and eBay no longer takes its listing fee as long as all of the proceeds are donated to a nonprofit. To learn details, you can click here.

As those of us who spend a lot of time there know, eBay's anchor is trust and honesty -- buyer and seller deal with one another without a significant watchdog and little system for ensnaring cheats. The fact that the system works as well as it does is heartening. So, it's not surprising to read this quote from Bill Cobb, president of eBay North America: 'eBay was founded ten years ago on the principle that people are basically good. This is proven out every day on eBay with our community's support for an incredible range of worthy causes.'

Get selling everyone.
