Misery, You've Got Company (and Laughs)
Kevin Salwen on Humor
Dilbert may have started us laughing about the goofiness of modern American corporate culture (and you should check out the interview with Scott Adams in the May issue of Worthwhile), but you'd be missing something if you didn't tap into despair.com.
It's a brilliant site, created by some ex-dotcommers, that sells spoof inspirational items. How about the Demotivators coffee mugs pronouncing: Meetings: None of Us Is As Dumb As All of Us, or Ambition: The Journey of a Thousand Miles Sometimes Ends Very Very Badly or the one I've posted here, Potential: Not everyone gets to be an astronaut when they grow up.
Now they're selling a new book, The Art of Demotivation, and pitching it as the 'last management book you'll ever buy.'
Clever folks, fun stuff.
