If I Ran the World, Part I
Kevin Salwen on Culture

Here's my new law for today:
If you drive one of those massive SUV Suburbany things that gets 4 gallons per mile, you may not have a 'Support Wildlife' affinity license plate.

touche. hunters and fishermen have a legit claim to driving SUVs. having gone fishing well off the road in south Georgia i was glad to be driving a Montero and not a Prius. Somehow, I don't think the Prius would have handled 4 guys, tackle, a john boat and the coolers. And, with gators nearby, i really did appreciate the 4 x 4 and ground clearance. suburb, x-urb and metropolitan types using 'em for Kroger runs...no.

Why?

Those 'Suburbany things' are handy for hauling a deer carcass. Hunters also have a very direct interest in supporting a stable wildlife poplulation.
