Hello, His Name Is...
Kevin Salwen on Creativity
OK, this is a fun idea. A St. Louis communications marketer named Scott Ginsberg has been wearing a name tag every day -- for 1,435 days (since November 2000)! 'In the beginning, it all started out as an experiment,' he writes on his site. ''What would happen if I wore a nametag all the time?' I wondered. Maybe people would be friendlier. Maybe people would be more willing to say hello. Maybe people would stare at me and think I was crazy!'
What has happened? The tag helps 'break down walls of social trepidation, thus spreading the opportunity, fulfillment and sheer joy that can be found through interpersonal interaction,' he writes.
I want to meet this guy. At least I'll know how to recognize him.
