Does This Sound like Your Day?
Anita Sharpe on Life

Glaceau uses the biggest chunk of real estate on its Smartwater bottles to print this: 'wake up. take shower. get dressed. eat cereal. brush teeth. kiss dog. pet wife. wait -- stop. reverse that. o.k., continue. read paper. drive to work. sit in traffic. sit in meetings. kiss butt. eat lunch. sit in more meetings. kiss more butt. drive home. sit in traffic. kiss wife. pet dog. watch favorite reality tv show. sleep.' (Then the company plugs its water.)

What I find interesting about this is how it seems to universally resonate. I know people who are buying the water just for the bottle.

When the average workday is so easily lampooned on a beverage, you know we're nearing a tipping point.

for some reason i don't find this as funny as i should. instead, i find it all too true. we have accepted a professional world according to dilbert. how sad is that?

Hi A = But here's the thing, is the funny part how this is so typical of one's workday -- or is it funny because it's NOT like anyone's workday anymore -- or is it amusing because so many people are out of work and so they can breathe a sigh of relief that they don't work like this anymore? I'm not at all sure.

I just like the mix ups with the 'kiss dog, pet wife' and the ongoing 'kiss butt' stuff.
