Thought for the day
Anita Sharpe on Passionate Work

'The world will never be happy until all men have the souls of artists -- I mean when they take pleasure in their jobs.' Auguste Rodin

That's probably true, even though much of the world still equates 'happiness' with leisure. I have often wondered how many terrorists and others attracted to destruction choose these paths because they're searching for a purpose that their daily lives don't provide.

Just an addition from De Vinci
'Choose a job that you love and you never have to work a day of your life' Capturing the soul of what you said, and the difference between the soul of an artist and an ordinary man.

As Peter Egan once said, 'Doing is better than having.'

Words to live by.

Interesting quote. I would agree. In recent reflections I've come to realize that I'm happiest when I'm creating something. Perhaps it's not art in the truest sense, but the act of creation, I believe, stimulates the 'artist' in all of us.
