Shameless Plug Dept.
Kevin Salwen on Business

There's a new element on our site this week, at the top right corner of the home page: our new subscription link. For the past year, we've been creating the print version of Worthwhile magazine. We believe in our hearts that it will be a magazine like no other -- one that understands that people want to work for more than a paycheck, that they want to fill their worklives with passion, purpose and meaning as well as money. One that understands the heart and soul of business as well as the brain. All done with a sense of fun and spirit and adventure.

When people like Tom Peters, David Batstone, David Weinberger, Rebecca Ryan, Gail Evans, Kate Yandoh and Halley Suitt hop aboard, you know you've got something great in the works. We go on the press in a couple of weeks and we think you'll love the magazine -- and the special $11 Web charter subscriber rate.

(Did I mention there's a subscription button at the top right? Thanks!)

Great site, Kevin, and I'm really looking forward to seeing Worthwhile in print! Alas, I'm another one of those non-US folks, but will eagerly look for it on the newsstand.

Also, if I may be so brazen (and as the biz manager for another new mag also trying to do things differently, I have to be), I'd like to one up your shameless plug for a charter subscription with one for a 3-issue free trial subscription. The magazine is Maisonneuve, a bimonthly general interest glossy championing eclectic curiosity. http://www.maisonneuve.org Thanks!

It would help if you fix the form to indicate you are not accepting international subscriptions. I just went through the process several times, and got absolutely meaningless feedback including a '(98) this order cannot be processed'.

It was only then I found the comments above.

Another would be Aussie subscriber.

Michael,

We haven't set up international distribution yet, but we've been getting a lot of requests (much interest, in particular, from Australia). Send us your address (info@worthwhilemag.com) and we'll see what we can do.

Are subscriptions available to those living outside of the USA? There are only a few billion of us so maybe its not really worth it?

Kevin, We took the plunge! We wish you enormous success and huge profits from your new enterprise.
