Americans are forever trying to get thin without the pain. That's not new, but three items caught my eye this week. Next year, according to research firm Mintel International, sales of light and low carb beers will surpass regular beer for the first time. Coca-Cola has just introduced C2, its new version with half the sugar, calories and carbs. And now comes the latest -- a deal for Kraft to begin using the South Beach diet logo on some products. Quite a step for the maker of Oreos and Oscar Meyer.
