Raining Dollars
Anita Sharpe on Money

It seems there is so much investment money looking for a good home that some venture capitalists are cold-calling start-up companies to offer funding. Needless to say, this is pushing up valuations and putting entrepreneurs in the driver's seat, according to a Wall Street Journal story. Indeed, the median valuation for a start-up company soared to more than $15 million last year, from $10 million two years earlier, according to WSJ.

Funny. I just wrote on the same article!
I hadn't read your article but I had what appears to be the same reaction to the WSJ article. This won't end well. Having lived through the surge and down of the dot-com days, I'll say that SV is starting to have too much hype and not enough reality lately. It won't create real value.
