Going to Bali
Kevin Salwen on Making a Difference

In this world of conference after conference, it's great to see something that is truly different: An early May event in Bali called the Quest for Global Healing. It features a star-studded international cast of speakers and attendees: from brand names Walter Cronkite and Desmond Tutu to Nobel Peace Prize laureates Betty Williams and Jody Williams to Indonesian President Susilo Yudhoyono, Afghan activist Fatima Gailani, Soul of Money author Lynne Twist and James O'Dea, president of the Institute of Noetic Sciences.

Worthwhile decided to help sponsor this event because we love the concept that it can bring actionable items into a 'flatter' world -- that is, a world in which everyone with Internet access can suddenly become an activist with a voice. As part of that sponsorship, if you tell the QGH folks that you heard about it through Worthwhile, they'll give you $100 off.
